SOUTHPORT SURF LIFE SAVING CLUB – HERITAGE FLOOR RESTORATION

This historic timber floor at Southport Surf Life Saving Club in Main Beach was professionally sanded and restored after decades of heavy use.
Careful sanding removed the worn and deteriorated coating while retaining the original board variation, fixing marks, repairs and character of the heritage floor.
The restored timber was then protected with a commercial-grade coating system incorporating additional anti-slip protection for this high-use community facility.

BLACK JAPAN STAIRCASE RESTORATION – UPPER COOMERA

This existing timber staircase was completely sanded back from its original brown finish to bare timber before being carefully prepared and stained in Black Japan. The staircase was then protected with a professional 2K finishing system incorporating an anti-slip additive for additional traction.

BRUSHBOX PARQUETRY RESTORATION – NERANG

This Brushbox mosaic parquetry floor at a retirement village clubhouse in Nerang was professionally sanded and refinished to restore the appearance of the existing timber while retaining the character of the original parquetry.
Careful sanding and preparation brought the colour and natural variation of the Brushbox back to life before the floor was finished with LOBA 2K Duo, a professional two-component water-based finish providing excellent durability for this high-use communal area.
The result is a clean, durable and beautifully restored parquetry floor designed to withstand the demands of a busy clubhouse environment.

CUSTOM STAINED BRUSHBOX RESTORATION – WONGAWALLAN

​This Brushbox timber floor formed part of the transformation of an older heritage-style property in Wongawallan into a modern Hampton-style home.
Rather than covering the natural timber, the existing Brushbox was professionally sanded and restored before a custom colour-matched stain was developed to complement the home's new interior and achieve the desired contemporary appearance.
Careful preparation and colour matching were particularly important with the natural variation found in Brushbox. Once the required colour was achieved, the floor was protected with a professional 2K matt finish, creating a sophisticated low-sheen appearance while retaining the character of the original timber.
The finished result demonstrates how an existing timber floor can be completely transformed to suit a modern renovation without losing the character of the original flooring.

COMMERCIAL BLACKBUTT PARQUETRY RESTORATION – GOLD COAST

This large commercial auditorium on the Gold Coast featured an extensive Blackbutt mosaic parquetry floor requiring complete professional sanding and refinishing.
Despite the size of the floor, the same attention was given to sanding, preparation and finishing as we apply to smaller residential projects. The existing surface was carefully sanded back and prepared to restore the natural colour and character of the Blackbutt parquetry.
The floor was finished with LOBA 2K Duo in a matt/satin finish, providing a durable professional coating suitable for the demands of a large, high-use commercial space while maintaining a natural, refined appearance.

This striking Red Ironbark timber floor formed part of a Mt Tamborine home featured on Grand Designs Australia.
The Red Ironbark was professionally prepared and finished to showcase the rich natural colour, grain and character of this distinctive Australian hardwood.
Rather than using a conventional polyurethane coating, the floor was finished with Fiddes Hard Wax Oil, providing a beautiful natural appearance that complements the character of the timber and the architectural style of the home.
The result is a warm, natural-looking timber floor that allows the variation and depth of the Red Ironbark to remain a feature of the interior.
